It dawned on me the other day, that we have been living in/on/around and a building site for as long as I was pregnant – 9 months of dust, disorganisation and disorder!! … and while we are thrilled with the outcome, we are now surrounded by a lot of unpacking and sorting to do!
And so for those who know me well, you know know I like to be clean, tidy and organised! (My husband on the other hand, thinks that just because I don’t get up in the loft very often, means he can hide the clutter and mess up there!)
Cue massive spring clean in the Griffith household, as I am on a massive decluttering mission – I don’t know about you, but I just don’t function at my best when I’m living in disorgnisation and clutter – it fills my headspace, and blocks my energy and creativity! Which is why I’ve been adopting a lot of the methods I learned in Marie Kondo’s famous book: The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying: A simple, effective way to banish clutter forever.
I read this a couple of years ago now, and loved it – it was truly transformation! Especially as it’s helped me ditch so much of my guilt around throwing things away – you just don’t realise how much psychology there is to it!
The pictures above show my new office, and the result of me booking a babysitter, so I could spend a solid 3 hours getting my working space how I want it! Result!
